Football Roundtable: Can Kansas Defeat Texas Tech?

The Kansas Jayhawks will play the Texas Tech Red Raiders this week in Lubbock, Texas.

Currently, the Red Raiders are on a two game losing streak. They have an overall record of 6-3 and are ranked 22nd in the BCS Rankings.

The Red Raiders are led on offense by quarterback Seth Doege. Doege has thrown for 2,869 yards and 31 touchdowns this season. He has four game where he has thrown more than five touchdowns.

Can the Kansas Jayhawks defeat the Texas Tech Red Raiders and how can they do so?

George: I would say that Texas Tech coming off a couple of losses to Kansas State and Texas, is going to be hungry to get back on the winning track. Seth Doege and a bruising defense are the reason why the Red Raiders have been ranked.

Ricky: It is not likely that Kansas will defeat Texas Tech. They might not win another game this season. If they want to have a chance of beating the Red Raiders, they need to slow down Seth Doege. Texas Tech is 1-3 when Doege throws less than two touchdowns. The yards for Doege cannot be limited, but you can limit his touchdowns. If the Jayhawks can keep him to less than two touchdowns and get James Sims into the endzone, then they could win, but highly unlikely.
