First the Kansas Jayhawks football team signed Andrew Bolton from Hinds Community College in Raymond, Mississippi. Now Kansas and head coach Charlie Weis added Tedarian Johnson, Bolton’s teammate at the junior college.
Johnson, along with Bolton instantly bolsters the Jayhawks defensive line. Kansas also added Dexter McDonald, another junior college player who played for Butler Community College.
Johnson chose Kansas over Texas Tech who also offered the lineman a scholarship. Another teammate from Hinds, Mitchell Hoskins may soon be heading to Kansas along with Johnson and Bolton.
The defensive lineman, is putting on a show so far this season at Hinds. He has great quickness, which is being put to use to track down opponents quarterbacks. Johnson has two sacks on the year for Hinds so far.
McDonald has appeared in five games on the year for Butler. The cornerback has a total of five tackles and one interception. McDonald originally signed with Kansas out of high school, though chose to play at Butler for a couple of seasons. He has honed his skills and wanted to sign again with Kansas.
