Kansas Basketball: Washington State Preview

On November 19th, the Kansas Jayhawks host Washington State at Allen Fieldhouse. The Cougars finished last season with a 19-18 record overall, finishing second in the College Basketball Invitational tournament after the regular season finished. Here is a look at the 2012 Cougars team.

Washington State faces three teams before taking on Kansas on the 19th. Eastern Washington, Utah Valley both go to Pullman, before the team travels to face Pepperdine out of the WAC on November, 16th.

Washington State returns of their top scorers from last season in Australian born Brock Motum and guard Faisel Aden. Motum led the team in points averaging 18 per game, and rebounds with six. Aden, averaged 15 points per game. Another key contributor to the Cougars last season was point guard Reggie Moore. He averaged 10 points, three rebounds and almost six assists per game. Three more key contributors who return include: Davonte Lacy, Abe Lodwick, and Marcus Capers.

Sophomore guard Lacy appeared in 37 games, averaging nine points per game, two rebounds and two assists. Lodwick contributed with seven points and four rebounds, while Capers averaged six points, and five rebounds.

The game will be shown on ESPN 2 at 8:00 p.m. central time.
