This week, the Kansas Jayhawks will take on the Oklahoma Sooners. Oklahoma is coming off a blow out win against their rival Texas and is looking really good ever since their “upset” loss to Kansas State.
Kansas has not won a game since week one of the season. Kansas pulled their starting quarterback last week and almost upset the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
If the Kansas Jayhawks are going to have a chance against Oklahoma, what is the most important thing they have to do?
George: Kansas really needs to work on a passing game. The running game is doing great, and with the addition of maybe some play action calls, opening up the vertical game a little bit, Kansas could improve on the offensive side. The defense is doing great, though improvements can always be made there as well.
Ricky: The biggest thing Kansas needs to do against Oklahoma comes even before the teams take the field. That is make the change at quarterback. Honestly, I see no way Kansas will win this game, but with Cummings in the game it gives them a better chance. Charlie Weis needs to do something right in the second half of the season and making the change at quarterback will do just that. The defense will have their hands full against Landry Jones and Oklahoma. Even more reason to change the quarterback and maybe take some pressure off the defense.
