Kansas Recruiting: Wayne Selden Signs

The nation’s number 14 recruit, Wayne Selden signed with the Kansas men’s basketball team on Monday. Selden was one of a number of recruits at Kansas’s Late Night in the Phog over the weekend. The Boston native chose the Jayhawks due to the great visit.

Selden plays for Tilton High School in New Hampshire, instantly bolsters the Jayhawks recruiting class. Now according to many recruiting websites, Kansas has the 2nd best recruiting class behind Kentucky. Selden joins Brannen Greene and Connor Frankamp as 2014 recruits signed with Kansas.

The 6-5 small forward has dominated all competition on the circuit and high school level, with superior strength and quickness. Selden has a great passer, and has a developing jumper which has grown to be a positive for him. He has been lighting up fellow stars across the country with his quickness and bulk.

Selden turned down Florida, Missouri, UCLA, Syracuse and Ohio State to sign with Kansas head coach Bill Self. The 5-star recruit led Tilton to a 22-8 record last year and hopes to improve upon this mark in the winter.
