Kansas State hosts Kansas Saturday morning around 11:00 a.m. central time. The Wildcats have an explosive offense headed by quarterback Collin Klein. In addition, Kansas State employs a great defense. Linebacker Arthur Brown is the leader of the group.
Last season, Brown lead the team in tackles with 101. So far this year, the linebacker who transferred from the University of Miami, has 36 tackles and three tackles for loss. Brown also has a sack. Kansas State doesn’t force a lot of turnovers, they just play solid overall defense.
The team lost a number of key guys on the defensive line, and cornerback position from last year, though this group hasn’t missed a beat. Adam Davis anchors the line. The senior has totaled three sacks on the year, good for tops on the team. Last year, Davis totaled four sacks, so he has on course to easily top this number.
Defensive back Jarard Milo leads the secondary. He has totaled 28 tackles on the season. Milo is a former walk-on who didn’t have too much expected of him. The corner has exceeded all expectations this season.
Kansas State is ranked 15th in the nation, giving up on average 15.5 points per contest. Kansas quarterback Dayne Crist will have a battle on his hands against this crew.
