Kansas Recruiting: Andrew Bolton Signs with Jayhawks

JUCO defensive end Andrew Bolton signed with the Kansas Jayhawks on Tuesday. Bolton, 6-foot-3, 280 pound defensive end racked up quite a freshman season at Hinds Community College when he had 65 tackles, including 18 for loss and nine sacks. Bolton is currently playing his second season at the community college in Mississippi.  Spencer is a serious student who loves what Kansas has to offer in this area.

Bolton made the trip to Lawrence on Saturday to watch Kansas face off against TCU. The Jayhawks lost 20-6, but won the recruit. Bolton was also being recruited by LSU, Miami, Alabama, Mississipi Stateand Oklahoma State.

Kansas linebackers coach DeMontie Cross led the recruiting charge of Bolton. He instantly improves the class as Bolton should be expected to play right away. He has two years remaining to play.

Bolton becomes the eighth member of the 2013 recruiting class that already includes: Ben Johnson, Montell Cozart, Jordan Darling, Kellen Ash, Joey Bloomfield, Taylor Lewis and Colin Spencer. Spencer, a cornerback from Dallas, Texas has begun playing quarterback.
