Kansas head basketball coach Bill Self visited one of the top-ranked recruits in basketball on Wednesday night in Julius Randle. In some recruiting services, Randle has supplanted guard Jabari Parker as the top-recruit for the class of 2013.
The 6-9 power forward lined up all the heavy hitters for in-home visits in September. First off, defending national champions Kentucky came on Sept. 9th along with NC State. North Carolina visited on Sept. 10th, while Duke came in on Sept. 11th. The Kansas Jayhawks made the trip to Plano, Texas where Randle plays college ball on Wednesday night. Randle also has Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas on his list of interested schools.
Randle has a very quick first step and is said to be unstoppable at the high school level. He is too strong down low, and has a great shot from the perimeter, one that is very hard for big men to stop.
Today Self, traveled to visit Jabari Parker, the number two recruit according to Rivals.com. The point guard was widely considered to be the top recruit for the class by most services. Parker lists Kansas, BYU, DePaul, Duke, Kentucky, Florida, Georgetown, Michigan State, North Carolina, Stanford as his interested schools.
