The Kansas basketball team will have some important visitors on October 12th for their Late Night in the Phog event.
Late Night in the Phog is a late night event that the Kansas basketball team hosts every year. It is part scrimmage and part talent show. It is a great chance for Kansas recruits to get a good look at what kind of a team the Jayhawks are.
This year the Jayhawks might have four recruits in attendance on October 12th. The first of these recruits is Tyler Roberson. Roberson is a small forward from Roselle, New Jersey. He currently attends Roselle Catholic High School. Right now, the Jayhwaks currently sit fourth on Roberson’s list which consists of eight other teams. Those teams include: Alabama, Seton Hall, Florida, Cincinnati, SMU, Villanova, and Rutgers. The top two teams on his list at the moment are Alabama and Florida.
Today, Roberson had coaches from Kentucky, Kansas, Georgetown, and West Virginia to visit him at him home in Roselle. Currently, he has three official visits set up with SMU (Sept. 27th), Syracuse (Oct. 5th), and Kansas (Oct. 12th).
The second of the recruits to visit Kansas on October 12th is Karviar Shepherd. Shepherd is a center from Dallas, Texas. He is a student at Prime Prep Academy. Kansas is the top team on his list, but there are four other teams on it. The other teams on his list are Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, and Texas A&M. However, LSU, Louisville, Marquette, Oklahoma State, and SMU have offered at him.
The only visit that Shepherd has scheduled in Kansas’ Late Night in the Phog on October 12th.
The third of the players set to visit Kansas on October 12th is Chris Jones. Jones is a point guard from Memphis, Tennessee. He is a junior college student who attends Northwest Florida State College. Kansas sits fourth on Jones’ list with ten other teams. The Jayhawks have not offered at Jones yet. The other teams on the list are Baylor, Louisville, Florida State, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Arkansas, Illinois, Marquette, Missouri, and Pittsburgh.
The top two teams on Jones’ list are Baylor and Louisville. He currently has three official visits set up. These visits include: Louisville (Sept. 15th), Florida State (Sept. 21st), and Kansas (Oct. 12th).
The last Kansas recruit that will be at attendance on October 12th is Aaron Gordon. Gordon is a power forward from San Jose, California. He is a student at Archbishop Mitty. Kansas currently is not on Gordon’s interest list. The teams on his list are Arizona, Oregon, Washington, California, Stanford, and Kentucky.
He has already had coaches visits from Arizona and Kentucky and will have one more with Washington (Sept. 18th). Right now, he has four official visits set up with Washington (Sept. 28th), Oregon (Oct. 5th), Kansas (Oct. 12th), and Arizona (Oct. 19th).
