Aqib Talib Makes Three Tackles in Buccaneers Win

Former Kansas cornerback Aqib Talib is the starting cornerback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL. He is one of seven former Kansas Jayhawks on a NFL roster. Talib blocked a punt, and recorded one pass defended in the Buccaneers win over Carolina in week one. Here’s a look at how the others fared last week.

Dezmon Briscoe: This former Jayhawks wide receiver is inactive currently for the Washington Redskins. The Redskins breezed to a win over New Orleans on Sunday. Last year, Briscoe made 35 receptions for Tampa Bay.

Steven Johnson: Johnson made the Denver Broncos roster as an undrafted free agent. This linebacker was inactive for week one. Denver beat Pittsburgh on Sunday night.

Mike Rivera: Another linebacker Rivera made the New England Patriots roster. Last week Rivera played for the Patriots special teams as the team defeated Tennessee.

Chris Harris: Harris stars as a starting cornerback for the Denver Broncos. He made four tackles and a half-sack during the Broncos victory over Pittsburgh.

Anthony Collins: Collins played sparingly in Cincinnati’s loss to Baltimore. Collins began his fifth season as an offensive tackle in the NFL on Sunday. He has had issues with injuries, including only playing seven games last season.

Darrell Stuckey: This safety for the San Diego Chargers, Stuckey played mostly on special teams during the team’s opening win over Oakland. This is Stuckey’s third season in the NFL.
