Recruiting: Spencer Enjoys Saturday’s Visit

Back in June, Colin Spencer made a trip from Dallas, Texas to Lawrence, Kansas in order to give his commitment to Charlie Weis and the Kansas Jayhawks.

The Woodrow Wilson cornerback was back to visit Kansas this past Saturday as the Jayhawks took on the Rice Owls. The Owls defeated KU by a score of 25-24 on a last second field goal. The Jayhawks blew a 24-13 lead as their record fell to 1-1.

Many people might think that this would have spoiled the party for Spencer’s visit to Kansas, but it did not spoil a thing. The Kansas commit was just as happy with the visit and cannot wait to be a Jayhawk next year.

After the game, Spencer tweeted:

Colin Spencer will be a nice addition to the Kansas Jayhawks next season. He is already putting up nice stats in his last high school season with includes a forced fumble.
