Kansas Men Head to Europe for Exhibition Games

The Kansas men’s basketball team will travel to France and Switzerland for a four-game exhibition trip through August 5-14.

The team will face the Switzerland National Team on Aug. 7 and Aug. 8 in Fribbourg, Switzerland. The Aug. 7th game kicks off around noon central time, while the game on the 8th begins at 10 a.m.

After the two games, Kansas travels to France where they will face AMW Team France, a team combining French A and B professionals. This is part of the EURO JAM PARIS, where Virginia, Colorado and Penn State’s women’s team will be part of.

Head coach Bill Self is set for his 10th season at the helm, with a solid group of players. Three seniors: Jeff Withey, Elijah Johnson, and Travis Releford will lead the way. Freshman Perry Ellis is set to take over departed Thomas Robinson’s spot at power forward, while the small forward job is still open. Jamari Taylor may have an inside track on the job.  Kansas also have a plethora of depth at every position. Ben McLemore who along with Taylor redshirted last season

, along with Landen Lucas, Zach Peters, Milton Doyle, Andrew White and Rio Adams all could see playing time in the stacked roster.
