Update of former Jayhawks in the MLB

Here is an updated look at former Kansas Jayhawks playing in Major League Baseball.

Tom Gorzelanny: This Washington Nationals pitcher has an ERA of 3.92, and a current record of 2-1. He has struggled recently, including his last outing on July 6th vs Colorado where he pitched one inning, and gave up two earned runs. Gorzelanny pitched at Kansas in 2002.

Sam Freeman: After a short stint with St. Louis, Freeman is back in Triple-A in the Pacific Coast League, pitching for the Memphis Redbirds. Freeman pitched at Kansas in 2008.

Mike Zagurski: Pitched on July 6th for Arizona. Hasn’t seen much action this season for the Diamondbacks. Has an ERA this season of 5.14. Zagurski pitched at Kansas for the 2004-05 season.

This is the current list of those Jayhawks in either Triple-A or Major League. There is a handful of former Kansas guys looking to break into the upper leagues, who currently play in Double-A. Those include: Paul Smyth, Cameron Selik, Erik Morrison, Shaeffer Hall, and Brett Bochy.
