With Milton Doyle’s announcement earlier this week, the Kansas Jayhawks recruiting class just got better. Here is an updated look at 2013’s incoming freshmen.
Connor Frakemp: Point guard earned all-state honors in Kansas after averaging 32 points per game last season. Frakemp has been compared to former Kansas stand-out Kirk Hinrich. Frakemp is ranked as the 42nd top prospect for 2013.
Brannen Greene: Greene is ranked as the 31st prospect for the year. He averaged 25 points and 14 rebounds last season for Mary Person’s High in Georgia.
Perry Ellis: The national player of the year, should come in and start right away for Kansas. He will be molded into the next star power forward for the university.
Anrio Adams: Shooting guard from Washington, has the talent to score points in bunches. He turned down offers from PAC-12 schools like Washington, Oregon and Arizona, to become the next great Kansas guard prospect. Averaged 23 points and six assists last season for Rainier High.
Andrew White: Another top forward prospect who could dual as a big shooting guard. White is ranked as the 12th forward and 51st overall prospect.
Zach Peters: Another forward for head coach Bill Self. Peters is a bulky forward who could push Ellis for minutes at the power forward spot. He averaged 15 points and nine rebounds last season for Plano High in Texas.
Landen Lucas: Lucas at 6-8 will add to the depth at either forward position, yet like Peters can add bulk to his frame, and possibly play some center. Lucas, out of Portland played for Westview High. He averaged 19 points and 14 rebounds per game last season.
