Recruiting: Milton Doyle signs with Kansas

The Kansas Jayhawks added another top-notch scorer on Monday, when Milton Doyle signed with the basketball team. Doyle, averaged 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals last season for Marshall High School in Chicago. The guard scored 20 points in Chicago’s all-star game in May.

, committed to Florida International before a coaching change made him re-think matters. The team fired Isiah Thomas last season. Doyle reminds Kansas head coach Bill Self of Tyshawn Taylor, the former Jayhawk who is now headed to the NBA. Taylor is expected to get drafted at the end of the first half of June-28 NBA Draft.

Doyle joins a Kansas backcourt full of depth. Travis Releford, Elijah Johnson, Naadir Thorpe are already in the rotation. Two freshman, Ben McLemore, and Andrew White are also joining the team. Kansas is piling on the talent in this off-season, as Self already signed Perry White, one of the top players in the country.
