Recruiting: Joey Bloomfield adds two offers

Tennessee-Martin and Eastern Michigan offered three-star tackle Joey Bloomfield yesterday, and the Ballard High star is a Kansas Jayhawks target and has visited the program. The Louisville, Kentucky 2013 tackle is also planning another visit to Lawrence.

The 6’6″, 315 pound recruit is known for his physical play and runs a 5.1 forty. Joey Bloomfield can bench 350 and squat 510, and his strength is definitely his most defining skill.

Joey Bloomfield has received offers from Kansas, Colorado, Eastern Michigan, Tennessee-Martin, and Wyoming. The three-star recruit is ranked by Scout as the 49th best tackle in the nation, while 247Sports gives him a rating of 83 and ranks him at 89th.

One of the top ten recruits in the state of Kentucky, Bloomfield was pleased with a visit to Kansas back in early April. He is receiving a high amount of interest from Arkansas, as well as some interest from Louisville and Kentucky. Oregon is a school that Bloomfield is interested in. Wyoming, Kansas, and Colorado are all going hard after arguably the top tackle in the state, and Charlie Weis is the one trying to recruit Bloomfield.

His two most recent offers are from more minor schools, and we’ll see how his recruitment moves forward. Arkansas could offer him, as well as the two major schools in Kentucky.
