Five-star power forward Chris McCullough is one of the Kansas Jayhawks top targets in the 2014 recruiting class. The third best PF in the nation, McCullough is one of the best five players in the northeast and the second best player in New York. He is 6’8″, 205 pounds and has an ESPN Scout Grade of 97.
Chris McCullough has offers from Iowa State, Kansas, St. John’s, Florida, Providence, and Rutgers. He also has interest from Arizona, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Memphis, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Seton Hall, and Georgetown. His recruitment will surely heat up soon, and McCullough might just be one of the best ten recruits in the nation. There is no doubt that he is in the top 20, and he is in my top 15.
The Salisbury star is long and athletic, and his length gives him the potential to be a very good defender who can win his defensive match-ups against both small forwards and power forwards. “Upside” is a word that is commonly associated with Chris McCullough, because his skill-set (athletic, long, good scorer, runs the floor well) is that of a player with a high amount of potential.
The Kansas Jayhawks definitely have interest in the top three power forward, who has visited some schools and will be one of the hottest prospects in the nation as his recruitment wears on. McCullough is a quick PF who stars on his AAU team (Team Scan) and is an elite prospect who will be an impact player at the college level. This five-star recruit has been setting New York on fire, and the 2014 star is certainly a prized recruit.
Readers, what are your thoughts on McCullough and the Jayhawks interest in him?
