Four-star small forward recruit Rashad Vaughn is one of the top 30 players in the 2014 recruiting class, and the 6’5″, 195 pound recruit is starting to rise in the recruiting rankings. Vaughn is one of the top recruits in the state of Minnesota, and the Minneapolis recruit from Robbinsdale Cooper High is looking to get rated by more recruiting sites and already has some big offers. One of his most recent offers (May 2nd)came from an up-and-coming Pac-12 squad, the Colorado Buffaloes.
Rashad Vaughn has offers from Kansas, Iowa State, Colorado, Arizona State, Baylor, Boston College, Georgetown, Iowa, Miami, Minnesota, Oregon State, Texas, Wisconsin, and Tennessee. Michigan, Louisville, and Michigan State are also interested in the 2014 recruit.
The swingman has great length and handles, and he is a slasher who is an impact player in the open court. Vaughn is terrific in transition and is also a very good shooter. He can knock down shots from downtown, and it is important to be able to make sure he doesn’t beat you by knocking down treys. The great thing about Rashad Vaughn is that he is so good at driving and shooting, which gives him that dual-threat aura and makes is difficult for teams to guard him. He also has potential defensively and would be a solid addition to any recruiting class. He is at least a top 50 recruit.
Those 14 offers will probably swell to something close to 25 at this time next year, and the top Minnesota recruit has the talent to succeed as either a 2 or 3 in college. He fits the Kansas Jayhawks with his offensive skill set, length, and effectiveness in transition. Keep tabs on his recruitment as it goes forward, because Rashad Vaughn is becoming a highly regarded player in the 2014 class.
