Recruiting: Kansas offers Carroll Washington

The Kansas Jayhawks have offered 5’11”, 164 pound JUCO prospect Carroll Washington. Scout.com projects the athletic Edmondson-Westside star as a cornerback, while Rivals has him as a dual-threat quarterback.

The athlete has offers from Arkansas, BYU, Kansas, Mississippi State, San Diego State, and Texas Tech, so his recruitment is starting to heat up. Carroll Washington has also received interest from Florida, Louisville, Maryland, Rutgers, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia.

The Baltimore recruit is getting quite a bit of interest from major schools in the region, especially those schools from Virginia and Maryland. Washington runs a 4.5 forty and has a 27-inch vertical.

Nobody is sure where Carroll Washington will play in college, but I see him as a better fit at cornerback than quarterback. He is an intriguing prospect with good speed and upside, and I’m glad that the Jayhawks offered the JUCO star and are showing interest in him; we can always use more speed.

More offers will come in for the QB/DB as his recruitment starts to heat up, and he already has an impressive list of schools after him.
